A WhatsApp alert had been configured in Polar Cloud to notify Industrial Controls and the site owner when the monitored flow moved beyond its expected operating condition. When that alert arrived, it gave the team an early indication that something had changed – before the leak had to become obvious on the ground.
The alert prompted the water supply to be shut off while the repair and maintenance team was mobilised. On the historic Polar Cloud trend, that decision is visible as the flatline in flow.
The incident helped avoid an estimated 2.16 million litres of additional water loss. The full downloadable case study shows the historic trend, explains the flatline and restart spike, and breaks down the response, calculations and wider operational impact.
